Product Description
Limit switches can be mounted on the screw jacks cover pipe to signal stroke positions such as end of travel. The switch is triggered by a cam or target disc on the end of the lead screw. Limit switches allow you to set precise travel limits and stops on our screw jacks and actuators. They are also ideal in any application where rotary motion of a machine component can be used to indicate linear motion of another part. They are compatible with 1-ton through 100-ton screw jacks, motorized actuators, and electric cylinders.
Every motorized screw jacks or actuators must be controlled so that power to the motor is turned off and the brake engaged before the limits of mechanical travel are reached. Our limit switches senses extension shaft rotation and provides switch contact closures that can be used to control motors. Our limit switches is electromechanical device, directly installed on screw jack's protective tube, used for screw jack precision positioning travel limit and stop. Every motorized jack or actuator has two limit switches, one is for lifting screw fully retracted travel, another for lifting screw full extend travel. At the bottom of lifting screw, will have a similar stop nut, when it touches limit switches' contacts, will break an electrical connection, then electric motor will be stop at the same time.
