| Mechanical screw jack cylinders and linear actuators are increasingly becoming the preferred choice of actuation over the equivalent hydraulic or pneumatic systems with advantages including simpler and smaller installation, a cleaner, healthier, quieter environment, lower energy costs with less maintenance. There are compromises and considerations to be made when choosing between the various systems for a particular application and each has its own benefits. For example, the cost of an individual hydraulic cylinder may be lower than that of a screw jack but the cost of the whole hydraulic system may be greater than the electromechanical equivalent. Product Description
20 Ton Heavy Duty Electric Cylinders are basically 20ton worm gear screw jacks with travelling nut, but with lifting cylinder design. Available in ball screw and machine screw. The screw is fully enclosed by push rod which is guided in external protection tube, that is well suited for industrial environments where protection of the lifting screw mechanism and dependable operation are critical. As a better choice over hydraulic actuators or pneumatic cylinders with this clean alternative, impler to install, control, low maintenance and a quieter solution. In the absence of vibration load, they have self locking and precisely position loads, will hold loads without backdriving.

* Maximum static load capacities 20 ton (200 kN).
* Self-locking trapezoidal screw sizes Tr 65x12.
* Two gear ratios: high ratio 1:8, slow ratio 1:24.
* There are no "standard" travel lengths. each electric cylinder jack is built to specification.
* Available in Direct Motor Mounts and Parallel Motor Mounts with additional gearboxes.
* Available in machine screw and ball screw, precise positioning, and uniform speed.
* Standard with 1-start thread screw, custom 2-starts threads screw which offers increased travel speed and require a brake or external locking device to hold position.
* End fittings: top plate, clevis end, threaded end, plain end, fork head and rod end.
* Power source: manual operation, electric motor drive, or both together.
* Single unit use, or multiple screw jack cylinders systems including gear motors, bevel gearboxes, connecting shafts and couplings for dual or multiple electric cylinder actuators arrangements.
* Standard electric cylinders are purchased without a motor or geared motor. Note: Brake motors must be specified for all ballscrews electric cylinders. And for any machine screw electric cylinder with an efficiency ratio greater than or equal to 30%.
* Can be used as alternatives to hydraulic cylinders and pneumatic cylinders.
