manual ball screw jack 5 ton features: Low-friction ball bearings allow these screw jacks to use half the power required by an Acme screw jack to lift the same load. Typically used as actuators, they run at higher speeds than Acme screw jacks. They come assembled, threaded, and ready for hookup. Connect a motor or hand-crank shaft to the screw jack shaft to lift, hold, position, and level loads.

The screw jack makes it possible to transform the rotary motion provided by an electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic motor or even a handwheel, into linear motion that allows push or pull vertical lifting and horizontal positioning. They can be used to lift, pull, move, or align any type of load with perfect synchronism, which is difficult to achieve with other types of actuators.They can be applied either with vertical mountings facingup or down, or with horizontal mountings.

1. In case of power failure, screw jacks can be moved manually via a handwheel. To do this, one input shaft shall be available on the screw jack for the connection of the handwheel. If a brake motor is used, the brake shall be un-clamped firstly, so to allow for movement.

3. Intermittent positioning applications
