Manual Bevel Gear Screw Jack includes a bevel gear screw jack and a handwheel or hand crank. It is suitable for applications where electricity or power generators is inconvenient or dangerous, light weight, low duty cycle, low target cost and short travel length. The hand crank worm gear screw jack has a disadvantage that is the travel speed is slow and the maximum travel length of the handwheel or handwheel per revolution is 1 to 1.5 mm. However, manual bevel gear jacks are the ideal solution for slower walking speeds with internal bevel helical gear pairs up to 24mm stroke length with one handwheel or crank per revolution. A hand wheel is a convenient solution for manually operating a jack when using machine screw jacks in intermittent positioning applications. Hand wheels are available in a range of diameters from 5 to 16 inches and can be adapted for use on jacks up to the 20 tons capacity model. NOTE: Hand wheels do not include a brake and therefore are not for use with ball screw jacks. When using hand wheels with a jack that can back drive (12:1 and lower) an additional locking mechanism may be required to prevent "creep".
