Product Description
T Series 90 Degree Bevel Gearbox JT45, soild input and output shafts diameter 45mm. Bevel gearboxes are encased in robust cast metal housings and have hardened bevel gears pairs with spiral toothing and amply dimensioned rolling bearings. Spiral bevel gears have the significant benefit of very favourable meshing characteristics (high contact ratio). They are therefore especially well suited for operation under high load factors and when the highest smoothness of running and a high degree of transmission precision are required. All gearboxes may be installed in any mounting position and may have mounting holes on all sides. Shaft Rotation for Mitre Gear Boxes: The direction of rotation of a connecting shaft can a readily be controlled by the selection of either a right- or left - hand mitre gear box. The sketch below shows how either a C.C.W or a C.W. rotation is obtained. Both gear boxes are identical except for the position of the mitre gear on the drive shaft.

* Housing: HT250 Cast Iron, High-strength Casting housing(JT19 - JT85).
* Spiral Bevel Gears: High purity rugged alloy steel 20CrMnTi, Carburizing and Quenching, Case Hardened and Lapped in Pairs.
* Input Shaft and Output Shaft: Hardened and tempered alloy steel 40Cr as standard. Custom Stainless Steel 304 or 316.
* Bearing: Equipped with Tapered Roller Bearings with heavy load capacity. Custom reinforced bearings for higher radial and axial load. Custom Stainless Steel 304.
* Oil Seals: Double-lip Oil Seal, High Dust-proof and Oil leak proof.
* Lubricants: Applications with high speeds and/or high daily duty cycle, Gear oil #320 lubrication is recommended. But applications with low input speed (less than 200rpm) and low daily duty cycle, #0 or #00 lithium grease is recommended. Note: For input speeds 1500 rpm a change in oil level may be required in combination with a breather (vent).
