A Screw Jack also known as a Worm Screw Jack, is a device used to convert rotational motion into a push-pull linear motion. It utilises the property of a screw thread providing a mechanical advantage which means that it can be used to amplify force. The rotary movement can be supplied manually or thanks to the help of hydraulic or pneumatic motors. Or thanks to electric motors, like the induction motor!
Electric screw jack is also called motorized screw jack, which is driven by electric motor, it has higher efficiency than manual screw jack. The motor can be geared motor, stepper motor, servo motor, single phase AC motor, three phase AC motor and 12v or 24v DC motor.
Motor adaptor flanges are used to mount motors to worm gear screw jacks and house the coupling for connecting the motor to the drive shaft. When ordering, please specify the side at which the motor adaptor flange is to be attached.
